Originally established as The Susan Bentley School of Dance, the academy first opened its doors in 1981 under the expert directorship of Mrs. Susan Bentley. Since its inception, the academy has been dedicated to fostering a love of dance in students of all ages and skill levels. From children as young as three years old to those on the brink of professional careers, we provide a nurturing and friendly atmosphere where every student is encouraged to take their first dance steps, prepare for examinations, or get ready for auditions.
Our comprehensive curriculum ensures that all pupils are prepared for recognized exams by the IDTA and NCDTA. This structured approach promotes gradual progress and offers each student the opportunity to achieve success according to their unique talents and abilities. The preparation for these prestigious exams instils discipline, confidence, and a deep understanding of dance techniques in our students.

At Simply Dance Academy, first and foremost we want our students to enjoy dancing and gain a lifelong love of dance and an appreciation of the art. Developing skills that will help in all walks of life, such as teamwork, respect for teachers, themselves and other students, learning commitment, discipline and determination.

At Simply Dance Academy our Pupil to Teacher Ratio is excellent, this allows pupils to develop their skills quickly.
Parents are welcome to discuss their child’s progress by appointment, telephone, or email.
All teachers are qualified, insured and are C.R.B. checked. All participate in ongoing career development training.
If already training with a dance teacher, permission must be sought so no conflict of interests may arise.
Class fees are payable at the beginning of each lesson for the first terms attendance, subsequent terms are paid in 10-week blocks.
Any illness, disabilities or learning difficulties must be disclosed.
